Diploma of Remedial Massage

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to perform massages for relaxation and health purposes. You will learn skills to assess a client's massage needs and plan and conduct a remedial massage based on a knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and using skills in a wide range of soft tissue massage techniques. On successful completion of this course you are able to apply for a private health care provider number from the nationally accredited massage associations, which gives your clients the ability to claim their massage treatment through their private health cover.

 

To successfully complete this course, you will be required to undertake a compulsory work placement. Detailed information about work placement will be provided at orientation.

Graduates of TAFE can move into employment or continue their studies at University, often with advanced standing. Students can also apply for a TAFE/ University package which allows for the combining of a Diploma/ Advanced Diploma and a Bachelors Degree from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University.   Graduates will then receive a double qualification – a Diploma/ or Advanced Diploma, and a Bachelor’s Degree.
