Certificate III in Bricklaying / Blocklaying

This course will develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career in the building and construction bricklaying trade.  You will learn how to: lay and bond bricks and building blocks; construct ornamental panels, feature walls, arches and columns; lay bricks for domestic, commercial and public buildings;  and how to prepare and maintain brickwork.

 

To successfully complete this course, you may be required to undertake a compulsory work placement.  Detailed information about work placement will be provided at orientation.

Graduates of TAFE can move into employment or continue their studies at University, often with advanced standing. Students can also apply for a TAFE/ University package which allows for the combining of a Diploma/ Advanced Diploma and a Bachelors Degree from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University.   Graduates will then receive a double qualification – a Diploma/ or Advanced Diploma, and a Bachelor’s Degree.
