Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

You will  learn all about child development to be able to provide quality, professional care to children aged 0 – 12 years. You will learn to adapt to the ever-changing needs of individuals and families in a culturally sensitive way. You will learn skills to provide a positive nurturing environment, offering programs that challenge children to develop their intellectual, physical and social skills. Our course combines classroom learning with weekly practical work experience in a childcare centre to equip you with a solid foundation in the essential competencies required to work as a centre-based caregiver. You will use organisational policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care for children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. You will be trained to work as a childcare assistant, family day carer or nanny. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS – completion of 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
