Build a career in one of the fast growing industries by completing the Certificate IV in Building and Construction - Building. During this course you will develop the knowledge to plan and supervise construction sites, prepare costs and schedules for a contract, use current building codes and standards, understand the legal requirements of contracts and works, read and interpret plans and specifications, identify and produce estimated costs and manage occupational health and safety on construction sites

By the time you complete this course you will have developed a diverse range of skills to be able to project manage and coordinate the overall construction of low-rise residential and commercial buildings, which may involve selecting contractors, overseeing work and its quality and liaising with clients

You can continue your studies for a further year by applying for the Diploma of Building and Construction

This course structure is based on Australian building codes and regulations. International students should consider if these regulations are applicable in their own country.

Graduates will then receive a double qualification – a Diploma/ or Advanced Diploma, and a Bachelor’s Degree.
