Advanced Diploma of Surveying

If you want to learn more about the operation of sophisticated surveying equipment, then this Advanced Diploma of Surveying is well matched to meet your needs. In this course, you will gain the educational and practical training to extend your career in the surveying, mapping, and geographical information systems (GIS) industries. You will learn about collecting and analysing spatial data for complex engineering structures such as roads, railways and surface and underground mining structures.

 

This course is designed to build on the knowledge you acquired whilst studying the Diploma, and will give you the additional skills in cutting edge surveying technologies. Surveying is an important part of local, state and national land management programs and building, construction and environmental projects. At this level, you are required to conduct advanced GNSS control surveys and engineering setout surveys while ensuring that all risks that may arise can be managed with minimal impact

 

Once you successfully complete this course, you can also continue your studies at University.

Students can also apply for a TAFE/ University package which allows for the combining of a Diploma/ Advanced Diploma and a Bachelors Degree from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University.   Graduates will then receive a double qualification – a Diploma/ or Advanced Diploma, and a Bachelor’s Degree.
